• Notes

  The death occurred at Prescott on Sunday morning of Mr. Herbert Ernst, an old New Hamburg boy. He died very suddenly from an attack of apoplexy at the Royal Alexandra Hotel in that town. The deceased was the only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ernst and was born in New Hamburg where he spent his boyhood days. After spending a few years in Kitchener he went to Prescott about twenty-five years ago, where he was Deputy Registrar for many years. After relinquishing this post he was Division Court Clerk, issuer of auto licenses and Secretary of the Prescott School Board. The deceased was about 54 years of age. He was twice married and he leaves his second wife, two sons and one daughter besides one sister, Mrs. Ettie Olp, of Evanston, Ill., to mourn his sudden demise. The funeral took place at Prescott.
