    • Death of Mrs. Hohmeier - There passed away yesterday morning an aged and highly esteemed resident in the person of Elizabeth Pfeiffer, relict of the late George Hohmeier. at the age of nearly 90 years. Deceased was born in Hessia. Germany, on May 30th, 1830. Over seventy years ago she came to this country, settling near Heidelburg, later moving to Philipsburg. Fifty years ago they came to New Hamburg and she had since resided here. She was a devout adherent of the Lutheran faith and a member of Trinity Church. Her husband died about twenty years ago and three children also predeceased her. There remain two sons and four daughters to mourn her demise.They are: Philip and George, of Waterloo; Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. F. Nunns, of Stratford; Mrs. Rehberg and Miss Pauline, of New Hamburg. The funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon from her late residence to Trinity Lutheran Church thence to Riverside cemetery.
