Notes - POOTZ, Walter Passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at St. Mary's Hospital on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Lottie for 65 years. Loving father of Gary (Gloria), Ken (Caroline) and Tim (Sheila). Proud Grandpa of Michael, David, Jennifer (Matthew), Spencer, Brent, Taylor, Shawn, Bryton (Kathryn) and Melissa and great- grandfather of Whitney and Sasha. Dear brother of Lynn (Bill) Shaw, Rita (late Les) Curran, Martha (late Ron) Schaus and the late Frieda (Mike) Kobak, Edith Issler, and William Stremel. Dear brother-in-law of Robert (Maria Rosa) Issler, Martha Jadischke and the late Ed Jadischke. Special thanks to the 5th Floor Staff at St. Mary's Hospital for their outstanding care of Walter and kindnesses to his family. Walter's family will receive relatives and friends from 2: 00-2: 45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Wednesday at 3: 00 p.m. Reception to follow. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery, Thursday 9: 00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Mary's Hospital or St. Philip's Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
