• Notes

  Mr. J B. Keachie, who has been ailing for some months, passed away at the residence of Mr. C. B. Linton on Saturday night or early Sunday morning. The precise hour of his death is not known, as there was no person with him at the time. He had been troubled with dropsy and heart disease, but his death was quite unexpected. The deceased was born near Branchton in 1827, his mother being a sister of the late Mr. Alex. Buchanan. He was a widower, his wife having died some eighteen years ago. He engaged largely in barn building and moving, and had the reputation of being the most expert mover of buildings in this section. Deceased resided at Branchton for many years, and at the time of his death was on a visit, to his daughter, Mrs. C. B. Linton. The surviving members of his family are James, of East Saginaw, Mich., Angus, and .Mrs, C. B. Linton, of Galt. The Dumfries Reformer 28 May 1891 pg 1
