Little Three Year Old Daughter of Mr Lenz Fatally Scalded on Monday Evening.

The friends of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Lenz, Foundry street, will extend their sincere sympathy in the sad affliction suffered by the death of their bright little daughter, Adele, who died Tuesday morning at seven. o'clock, the result of being scalded.

The little girl, who was about three years of age and the youngest of a family of three small children, was playing near the stove on which her mother had a boiler of hot water from which she filled a pail which stood near the stove, when the little one accidentally tumbled over it, up setting the pail and scalding hersell so severely that it proved fatal. The sad accident occurred about six o'clock Monday evening.
The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock from the residence to St. John's Lutheran church, where service was conduct ed by Rev. Mr. Oberlander, of Berlin, thence to Mt. Hope cemetery for interment.
