    • BECHTEL, Hilda - Died peacefully in her sleep, Sunday, September 11, 2005, at Fairview Mennonite Home, in Cambridge. The former Hilda Wagler, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wagler, was born in Wilmot Township, 86 years ago.Beloved wife of Clinton Roy Bechtel for 60 plus years. Dear mother of Doris and Graham Martin of Mitchell, Linda Worth of Waterloo and Dave Worth of Akron, PA, Joanne Jantzi and John Regier of Kitchener, Gordon Bechtel of Elmira and Ralph and Lorraine Bechtel of Kitchener. She is survived by grandchildren Rob (Barb) Martin, Carolin Martin-Bird, Candy Martin, Debra Worth, Daniel Worth, Tina (Kyle) Hunsberger, Michelle (Trevor) Dueck, Jason Bechtel, Gregory Bechtel and Sean Bechtel; great-granchildren Samantha and Madelaine Bird, Kyan Hunsberger, Samantha Martin and Joshua Schiedel. Also survived by sisters Mary Brunk (the late David) of Brunner, Eileen Horst (the late Aaron) of Elmira and brother Alvin Wagler (Miriam) of Milverton. Also survived by brothers-in-law, Leonard (Nora) Bechtel of New Hamburg, Eldon (Bertie) Bechtel of Waterloo, Lloyd (Beatie) Bechtel of Burlington; sisters-in-law, Mary June (Ken) Willsie of Waterloo, Avon (Joe) Brofhy of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by brothers, Harvey and John; sisters, Almeda, Barbara, Nelda and Idella; sisters-in-law, Ruby Bechtel, Elsie (Edwin) Eby and brother-in-law, Delford (Pearl) Bechtel. The family will receive friends at Fairview Mennonite Home Auditorium, 515 Langs Drive, Cambridge, today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South (at Westmount Rd.). A service to celebrate Hilda's life will be held at the Mannheim Mennonite Church, 1494 Bleams Road (Ottawa Street, 1 km. west of Mannheim), on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 3 p.m. Viewing from 2 p.m. Rev. Nancy Brubacher officiating. Interment to follow at the Mannheim Mennonite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Mennonite Central Committee or Fairview Mennonite Home may be made by calling the funeral home at 743-8900.
