Notes |
- THE CO-OPERATIVE CIGAR CO.
Manufacturers of the popular brands : Cobalt, 10c; Lustig, 5c; Try Me, 5c; Right Idea, 5c.
The Co-Operative Cigar Co. is a hustling young firm who broke into business life about a year ago. The business is run on the Co-Operative principle and has made a marked success in the manufacturing field. The seven principals of the Company are all young men who have served their full time at cigar making. Every one is practical and being interested puts the very best thought and care into each cigar. Herein lies the secret of the fine reception the public has given every successive brand brought out-the cigars were made right. A number of hands are employed besides the gentlemen named below, making the shop the largest in town at the present time. The first cigar put on the market was the "Lustig," a five cent article, followed shortly after by a 10c smoke called "Cobalt." Both became favorites and have remained so. Recently two other brands : "Try Me" and "Right Idea" have proved equally popular. The members of the Co-Operative Cigar Co. are : - G. Holtze, President ; H. Painter, Secretary ; J. H. Wuest, Treasurer ; F. Lutzkowski, Manager, and S. Wellheuser, C. Hebel, and C. Hueglin.
