- ROBERTS, Ethel Rolene (Brubaker) - Peacefully, at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, in Elmira, on Tuesday, October 21, 2003. Ethel was born in St. Jacobs on January 4, 1907 a daughter of the late Isaiah Brubaker and Hannah Cress. She was married in June 1934 to her late husband George W. Roberts (1968). She was predeceased by her sisters Pearl Reynolds, Kathleen Foster and Gladys Rueter. Ethel was the loved mother of Sandra and her husband Douglas Lang of Waterloo and Jim Roberts and his wife Kathleen of Saskatoon. She was the proud grandma of Jefferey Lang and his wife Monika of Burlington, Jason Lang and his wife Christine of Waterloo, Ian Lang and Erin O'Leary of Owen Sound, John Roberts of Saskatoon and Lisa Perahudoff and her husband Murray of Saskatoon. She enjoyed visits with her great-grandchildren Nathan, Alexander, Nicholas and Kirstin Lang of Burlington and Wesley and Emily Perahudoff of Saskatoon. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and her best friend Catherine Ernst of Kitchener. Ethel was the oldest member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Kitchener. Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of Ethel with her family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Friday, October 24, 2003 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. A reception will follow. A private family graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Waterloo on Friday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the CNIB or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated and can be arranged through the funeral home - 745-8445 or www.edwardrgood.com
