- Elmer S. Kipfer of 31 Fourth Ave. died suddenly at his home Saturday, after a heart attack. He was 57. He had been employed in the heating division at Nelco Ltd. for the past five years and formerly was employed at the Hydro City Shoe Co. He was a member of First Mennonite Church. Born in Wilmot Township near New Hamburg, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Kipfer. He had lived in the Twin City area all his life and in Kitchener for the past 20 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Annie Helmuth; three sons, Ross of Kitchener, Gary of St. Marys and Richard at home; a brother, Nurias of Kitchener; four sisters, Mrs. Gideon (Pearl) Boshart of Baden, Mrs. Alvin (Viola) Brenneman of RR 2, Baden, Mrs. Elam (Mabel) Roth of Tavistock and Mrs. Harry (Dorothy) Snyder of Waterloo, and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Oliver. The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until noon Tuesday when removal will be made to the First Mennonite Church for service at 2: 30 p.m., conducted by Rev. Robert N. Johnson and Rev. Henry Jantzi. Burial will be in the church cemetery
