- William Bohlender
A well-known Waterloo resident, William Bohlender, 21 Erb street west, died at K-W Hospital early today. Mr. Bohlender was in his 74th year. He survived his brother, Daniel Bohlender, Waterloo merchant and former mayor of Waterloo, only a few months. Mr. Daniel Bohlender died Sept. 22.
Mr. Bohlender had been up and around Saturday as usual but became ill and was taken to the hospital yesterday morning. Death was due to a heart condition. He was employed as a machinist at Snyder Brothers Limited for 35 years until his retirement eight years ago. He was a member of the Waterloo Band for 35years and was born in Kitchener (Berlin) Oct. 28, 1864.
Surviving are one brother, Andrew of Detroit, Mich. and two sisters, Mrs. Adam Wagner, Waterloo and Miss Kate Bohlender, Kitchener.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, Kitchener. Interment will take place in Waterloo Mount Hope cemetery. Services will be conducted by Rev. H. A. Kellerman, pastor of Emmanuel evangelical church, Waterloo. The remains are resting at the funeral home.
