    • Death of Mr. John Eagan - A well-known form has been removed from our midst b the death of Mr. John Eagan, which took place at his residence on Monday last, after suffering for about two weeks from an attack of apoplexy. Mr. Eagan was a native of Ireland, from which country he emigrated in the year 1840. After a few months residence in Hamilton he settled in the then hamlet of Galt, where he has resided ever since - a period of over 42 years, Mr. Eagan was well-known throughout the town, and his many friends will learn of his death with regret. He was in the 73d year of his age.
