  DEATH of MR. JAMES SPROULE - We regret to learn of the death of this old resident of Galt, which took place at Palmerston on Tuesday evening last. Mr. Sproule must have resided in town for between thirty and forty years, and was universally known by all the older residents. For many years he carried the shoemaking business at his premises on North Water Street, and once there was well to do; but reverses overtook him and a few years ago he left the town and took up his residence in Palmerston. He was a quiet, industrious man, and had many friends, who will sincerely regret to learn of his death. His remains were brought to Galt for interment yesterday. - Since the above was written we have learned that Mr. Sproule's death was quite sudden, and was caused by heart disease. He was in the 83 year of his age. He came to Galt in the year 1834, and, as previously stated, resided continuously in the town until a few years ago, when he removed to Palmerston.
