    • GALT - A 22 year old Waterloo woman died Sunday of injuries received when the car in which she was riding was struck broadside on Highway 8 near Highway 97 at the south end of Galt.

      Dead is Mrs. David Rush, 426 Hazel Street, Waterloo. In South Waterloo Hospital, Galt, is her husband who was driving the car. He suffered head injuries and a fractured nose and is in satisfactory condition.

      PASSENGER HURT

      A passenger in the other car, Fred Taggart, 39, of Toronto, is n fair condition with head injuries and undetermined internal injuries. Driver of the second car was Leonard Russell of Toronto.

      Police said the Rush car was southbound on Highway 8 and turning left into a shopping centre when it was struck broadside by the northbound Russell auto.

      The rush vehicle, valued at $800, was wrecked. The other car received $1,000 damage.

      Mrs. Rush, the former Myrtle Margaret Geisel, was born in Kitchener July 19, 1942. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Geisel of RR#, Elmira, and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Elmira.

      Besides her husband and her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Wendy, at home, her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Bott of Elmira; her paternal grandfather, Henry Geisel of Elmira; and three brothers, Gerald, Glen and Earl, all of RR 3, Elmira.

      The body will be at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, until Wednesday noon when removal will be made to St. Paul's Church for a service at 3 pm. Rev. Dayton A. Fritz will officiate. Burial will be in Elmira Cemetery.
