      Trussler, Heather Helen (nee Whitehead):

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Heather Helen Trussler, nee Whitehead, in her 83rd year. Born on the seventh day of the seventh month on the eve of WWII (7 July 1939), she departed on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, in the silence of the eleventh hour (11 Nov, 2021).We will remember.

Heather was born in London, Ontario, but grew up mostly in Chatham, Ontario, where she attended St. Ursula's College of the Ursulines (The Pines). She worked for Bell Canada for more than 30 years, as had her father, until retirement in 1994. She met John Trussler in about 1960 and settled in Kitchener for the rest of her life. Ambient mobility was a long and painful endeavour, but Heather's hands were ever-busy in the kitchen and with crafts like knitting, cross-stitch, embroidery and rug-hooking.

Heather is survived by John Brian Trussler, her dear husband of 55 affectionate years, and their son Bryan Wesley Trussler (Cynthia). She is survived also by her younger brother Alan John Whitehead (Lucille) of Windsor, their daughters Erin and Meighen Whitehead, with their families; and by younger sister Stephanie Anne Ingalls (Bob) of Vancouver Island, their sons Scott and Shaun Ingalls, with their families.

Predeceased by her parents Alan Frederick Whitehead and Helen Marjorie McKiggan of London.

Heather's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 12 noon until the funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 1pm. Interment Williamsburg Cemetery.

Masks are required and guests can RSVP to attend visitation and the service by phoning the funeral home or through the funeral home website.

For those unable to attend Heather's service, relatives and friends may view the service via livestream at https://www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Stratford Festival would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).

Visit www.henrywalser.com for Heather's memorial and to RSVP.
