Notes - EBEL, Winnifred Irene Pequegnat (nee Tennant) Born April 9, 1917 Wyn passed away peacefully after a brief illness in Ottawa on Friday, January 9, 2015 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Arnold Ebel (2002) and the late Carl Pequegnat (1963). Predeceased by her brother William, her sister Elizabeth, and brother-in-law, Jack Brough. Loving mother of Penny (John) Aitken, Bill Pequegnat, and step-son Gary (Linda) Ebel. Much loved grandma of Polly (Robert), Whitney (David), Charles Aitken, Chris (Val) Ebel and Jenn (Scott) Pitsch. Fondly remembered by great-grandchildren Macoda and Caden Pitsch, and Cole Ebel as well as many nieces and nephews. Wyn was a nurse in the neonatal unit at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener. She was the last surviving member of the K-W Hospital nursing class of 1940. She enjoyed her retirement years in Kitchener, Elliot Lake and Ottawa as well as many winters in Florida. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial in Wyn's honour will be held in the spring.
