- Sun Valley Trip Follows Pequegnat - Petznick Rites
Miss Bernice Lydia Petznick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm R. Petznick, 33 Cedar St. East, Waterloo, and Mr. Homer Edmond Pequegnat, Kitchener and Vancouver, son of Dr. and Mrs. H.M. Pequegnat, 193 Frederick St., pledged their marital vows before Rev. A.L. Conrad in St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo, Saturday.
White snapdragons on the alter and the soft glow from candelabra made a charming setting for the ceremony. Wedding music was played by organist Miss Anna Hymmen, and the soloist was Mrs. Guenther Goman.
A gown in a classic model of frost white slipper satin was worn by the bride. The bodice was n buttoned fitted Basque style and the slender sleeves were edged n lace. The softly molded skirt extended to a graceful train. A satin headdress held the scalloped finger-tip veil of tulle illusion and she carried a semi-cascade of blue iris with white carnations and hyacinth florets.
Miss Bernett Petznick, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, wearing love bird green satin, styled with deep décolleté and full skirt. Her braided headdress and mittens were in matching shade, and she carried a semi-cascade of garnet red carnations.
Mrs. Paul Pequegnat, Kitchener, was best man, and ushers were Mr. Peter Pequegnat, Kitchener, and Mr. Robert Petznick, Waterloo.
An evening reception at the Hacienda in Waterloo, followed the late afternoon ceremony. Mrs. Petznick, mother of the bride, wore a crepe cocktail dress of Pacific blue, trimmed with satin and rhinestones. Her accessories were in matching shade and she wore a corsage of pale pink Virginia carnations with white hyacinth florets. Mrs. Pequegnat, mother of the bride-groom, wore a navy velvet cocktail suit, with satin fringe trim, coral hat, and shoulder corsage of coral-tinted Pinocchio roses.
For travelling the bride changed to a black winter suit trimmed with grey Persian Lamb, with matching hat and soft blue accessories. Her corsage was of yellow sweetheart roses and forget-me-nots.
After a wedding trip to sun Valley, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Pequegnat will reside at 1376 West 13th St., Vancouver, B.C.
