CARGILL - Charles Mayer of Cargill died suddenly at home Saturday. He was 17.
Born in Kitchener, he was a son of Earl Mayer and the former Martha Bender.
The family moved here from Kitchener eight years ago.
He was a Grade 12 student at the Walkerton district secondary school and was a former member of First Mennonite Church, Kitchener.
Surviving besides his parents are maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bender of Tavistock; a brother, John, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Larry (Sandra) Witmer of Kitchener and Mrs. James (Patricia) Edgeworth of London, Ont.
The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener, until noon Tuesday when removal will be made to First Mennonite Church for service at 3 p.m. conducted by Rev. Robert N. Johnson. Committal service will be held at the church followed by temporary entombment in Woodland cemetery. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Donations to the Ontario Mennonite mission board will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.
