  SCHUMM, Alfred John -- Of 289 Waterloo St., New Hamburg, passed away April 17, suddenly, at his residence. He was born in East Zorra Township 50 years ago; was a resident of New Hamburg for the past 20 years. He was a truck driver for Husband Transport Ltd., and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, New Hamburg. He is survived by his father William Schumm and his mother, the former Selena Yantzi; also two sons, Donald John of Waterloo and Perry Alfred of Rothsay, B.C.; also by Mrs. David (Nancy Mae Katherine) Pauli of New Hamburg; two brothers, Daniel and Lamar, both of Tavistock; three sisters, Mrs. Glen (Fanny Mae) Schwartzentruber of Tavistock, Catherine Currah of New Hamburg and Mrs. Mervin (Geneva) Lichti of Route 1, Tavistock; one grandson, Jeffery Donald Pauli. Will rest at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home, Chapel, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, where friends will be received today from 7-9 and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Services will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, New Hamburg, on Wednesday at 2: 30, followed by interment in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. Rev. L. Bugtong will officiate.
