    • Max Herman, 69, of Bloomingdale died Friday at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.

      Born in Germany, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Herman and came to Canada in 1927. settling at Bloomingdale. He worked at McAllister Mills, Guelph, for the past 35 years.

      Surviving besides his wife, the former Delphine Fisher, are two sons, Maurice of Kitchener and Donald of Bloomingdale; a daughter, Mrs. James (Mary) Straus of Kitchener five brothers, Adolph of Waterloo and Fredrick, Gustave, Wilhelm and Otto, all of Germany, and 12 grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.

      The body was at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home where the rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Sunday. Prayers were recited at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Monday followed by requirn high MASS at St. Boniface RC Church, Maryhill, at 1.0 a.m. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
