- LICHTY, Magdalena (Mrs. Emerson) - Peacefully, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, June 10, 2005, at Chateau Gardens, Elmira, Magdalena (Martin) Lichty, in her 96th year of Elmira, formerly of Peel Township. Beloved wife of the late Emerson Lichty (1969). Dear mother of Mervin and Ada Lichty of RR 1, Ariss, Clara and Leonard Bauman of Gowanstown, Willard and Viola Lichty of RR 2, Drayton, Lloyd and Bonnie Lichty of RR 7, Guelph; also lovingly remembered by her 19 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. Sister of Almeda (Milford Martin), Ismael and Edna Martin and sister-in-law of Erma Martin. Predeceased by her parents, Ananias and Rebecca (Gingrich) Martin; five brothers, Elo, Urias, Edmund, Orlan and Almon; two sisters, Valina Martin and Leah Lichty and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, on Sunday, June 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where the family service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, June 13 at 1: 30 p.m., then to North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for further public service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Chateau Gardens for the care and compassion shown to their mother.
