- HEINTZMAN, Jerome E. - At St. Mary's Hospital, on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1986, after a brief illness, Jerome Edgar Heintzman, of 60 River Rd. E., Apt. 206, Kitchener, aged 78 years.
He was a member of St. Anne's Church; a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and a Pilgrim of the Lodge; he was a member of Maryhill Knights of Columbus and a fourth degree member of Father Funcken General Assembly Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Army, Navy and Air Force Club. Had been employed for Bonnie Stuart Shoes Limited for 32 years, until his retirement in 1980.
Husband of Mary; father of Jerome Montag and his wife Florence, Clare and his wife Thelma, Lorne and his wife Shirley, Geraldine (Mrs. Clemens Dennome) and Mrs. Joyce Engel, all of Kitchener, Shirley (Mrs. Ernie Mayer) of St. Agatha; brother of Eleanor (Mrs. William Haase) of Kitchener. Nineteen grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive.
Predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Heintzman; five brothers, Herbert, Joseph, Fernando, Serenaus and Lincoln; four sisters, Lorina Patricia, Hilda Ostrom, Olivia Yantz and Alice Brodrecht; one son, Victor and one daughter, Eileen Gingerich.
Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home and Chapel, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, where the parish prayers will be recited on Friday (today) at 8 p.m., followed by the Knights of Columbus scripture service, followed by the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge service. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. Anne's at 10, with Father G.P. Hayes officiating. Interment will be in Maryhill cemetery.
