  • Notes
    • RICKERT, Earl H. - It is with sincere sadness, the family wishes to announce the passing of Earl Rickert, after a brief, but courageous struggle with cancer, on Tuesday, August 16, 1994, at K-W Hospital, in his 80th year. Earl was a most loving and devoted husband of Irene (nee Gowing) with whom he shared 57 wonderful years. He is also survived by his two sons, William and his wife Karen, Armand and his wife Anita; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a sister, Grace Ballingall. He will be sadly missed by his close relatives, including many nieces and nephews and also by an especially close circle of loving friends.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Clayton and Ivan and two sisters, Pearl Duench and Myrtle Poore. Earl was a lifelong resident of the Kitchener area, but also enjoyed the time that he could spend gardening or fishing, with friends and relatives, at the family cottage located near Wiarton. Earl enjoyed 30 years of service at the K-W Hospital and retired in 1985. Friends and relatives may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11 am, with Rev. Vern Trafford officiating. Reception to follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family centre.
