- SCHAEFER, Gerald -- Suddenly, as the result of a heart attack, in Hanover, on Saturday, July 3, 1982, Gerald G. Schaefer, aged 57 years, of 272 Eighth Ave., Hanover. Mr. Schaefer was employed at Knechtel Furniture, Hanover and formerly worked at Sutherland-Schultz Limited, Kitchener. He was a veteran of the Second World War, served with the Royal Canadian Air Force in England. Survived by his wife, the former Wilma Cressman; four sons, Ronald of Ottawa, David of Waterloo, Richard of Surrey, B.C. and Dale of Kitchener; two daughters, Cathy and Lori, both of Waterloo; brother of Marjorie (Mrs. Arthur Beilstein) of Kitchener, Dorothy (Mrs. Larry Gummow) of Waterloo, Mildred (Mrs. William Rusch) of Courtney B.C., Carol (Mrs. Larry Fischer) of Brandon, Man. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jennifer and Ryan Schefer. Predeceased by his parents, George Schaefer and the former Frieda Nihls. Mr. Schaefer's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, Funeral and committal services will be held in the chapel, Tuesday at 3 p.m., with Rev Grant MacDonald officiating. Following cremation interment will be made in Memory Gardens.
