    • SCHAAF, Arthur L. - At the K-W Hospital, Monday, Aug. 28, 1972, following a lengthy illness, Arthur Schaaf of Route 4, Kitchener, age, 81 years; a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Petersburg; he was a former Sunday school teacher and superintendent for 25 years, and a member of the church council for 25 years; a member of the Lutheran Laymen's League; served as school trustee for Elmdale Public School for 10 years; farmed in Petersburg all his life.

      Husband of Esther Forler; father of Mrs. Ernest (Miriam) Tallman, Route 4, Kitchener; Mrs. Calvin (Madelaine) Honderich, New Hamburg; eight grandchildren also survive; predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.

      Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener. Funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Petersburg, on Thursday at 3 p.m., with Rev. R. O. Mantynen officiating. Interment will be in Emmanuel Lutheran cemetery, Petersburg.
