  SHILLING, William W. "Bill" - Peacefully, passed away at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband for over 57 years to the late Pearl Shilling (2004). Loving father of Susan Pilkey (David) and Douglas Shilling. Cherished "Grandy" of Heather, Gwendolyn, Sandra, Melanie, Laura, Jason, Nicholas and Tiffany, as well as to seven great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother John Shilling (Audrey). Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Lena Shilling, his brother Robert Shilling and his sister Lillian Heer. Bill was a Past Master of the Twin City Masonic Lodge No. 509, a member of the Scottish Rite, Rose Croix and the Hamilton Shrine. He was a veteran of the Second World War with the Hastings and Prince Edward regiments and served overseas. Bill was a Postal Supervisor for over 35 years and was a faithful member of The Church of the Holy Saviour, Waterloo. Family will host visitation today (Saturday) from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King Street West, Kitchener. Funeral Service will be held at The Church of the Holy Saviour, 33 Allen Street East, Waterloo on Monday, December 11, 2006 at 1 p.m. with The Venerable Peter J. Townshend officiating. Committal will be held at Memory Gardens, Breslau on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 11 a.m. Masonic Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6: 30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or The Lung Association-Waterloo Region would be appreciated and can be arranged through the funeral home, (519) 745-9495.
