- LYMAN, Robert "Bob" - At K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Tuesday, April 25, 2006, after a brief illness, with his family by his side. Bob Lyman aged 87 years. Bob was a member of Beth Jacob Synagogue, the B'nai Brith, he had served in the Second World War in the Canadian Army overseas and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Waterloo, Branch 530, he had operated Westons Jewellers for 40 years until his retirement. Loving husband to the former Lillian "Lil" Henry; dear father to Mel and his wife Linda, Sharron and her husband Barney Elligson and Ellie Winget all of Waterloo, Marilyn and her husband Michael Wallbank of Kitchener and Marcia and her husband Henry Claisse of Edison, New Jersey, brother to Sally Chastain of Lancaster, California. He was Grampa Bob to 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Max and Anna Lyman and 14 brothers and sisters. The funeral service will be held from Beth Jacob Synagogue today, (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. with Rabbi Yosil Rosenzweig and Rabbi Emmanuel Klein officiating. Interment will be in Beth Jacob Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Cardiac Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital and may be arranged by calling 745-9495 or at www.ratzbechtelfuneralhome.com Shiva will be observed at the home of Marilyn and Michael Wallbank, 39 Greengable Way, Kitchener.
