Notes |
- MENZIES, J. Walter - (1914-2006) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, in his 93rd year, at his home at Stirling Heights in Cambridge. Walter will be reunited with his loving wife, Madeline who left us in 1997. Walter was a loving father to Ralph and his wife Donna; a devoted grandfather to Lisa and her husband Mike Lair; and a proud great-grandpa to Joshua and Zachary. Walter will lovingly be remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families. Walter was predeceased by his brother, Stanley, and his sisters Norine Barry and Jesse Whalen. Walter served in the Second World War in the Canadian Army overseas. There are not enough words to express the depth of our gratitude for the level of care and compassion that Walter received from the staff of Stirling Heights during his residence there. We would like to say an additional thank you to every staff member for their exceptional compassion during his final days. You truly have "caring hands and loving hearts." Friends will be received at Little's Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 223 Main St. E., Cambridge on Friday, April 28, 2006 (today) from 1-3 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. Private interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations to the Canadian Institute for the Blind or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.www.tlittlefuneralhome.com.
