  GIBSON, John James - It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our dear father, John Gibson, peacefully with Alzheimer's. Father to Elaine and her husband Jay of Cambridge, Malcolm, Pamela and Dan of Toronto, Patrice of Nova Scotia, Terry and his wife Marj of Calgary and Greg of Calgary. Grandfather of Megan and Sheldon of Kitchener and great-grandfather of Bianca. Grandfather to Steve of Kitchener, Rosemary of Vancouver, Casey of Calgary and Sam and Molly of Nova Scotia. Loving friend to Ingrid and Mimi.Predeceased by his wife, Marvella May.Dad was born in Conventry, England in 1924 and was a veteran of the Second World War serving with the British Air Force before moving to Canada where he started his family.At Dad's request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at 1 p.m. in the chapel at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. A Celebration of our father's life will follow at Elaine and Jay's.
