- ALEXANDRA MAY LEFFLER 1925 - 2006 Passed away peacefully, at K-W Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital, on Thursday, August 10, 2006, at the age of 80 years.Cherished wife of Jack. Beloved mother of Richard and his wife Sandra of Waterloo and John and his wife Heather of Clifford. Proud grandmother of Kelly, Lisa, Helen and Sarah. Sadly missed by her sisters, Christina Bryant and Jean McKinnon as well as her brother, John Galbraith and his wife Gay; sisters-in-law, Betty Knipping and her husband Ray, Annette Galbraith and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Hannah Galbraith; sister, Ruby (Morris) Clarke; brothers, Norman (Ruth) and Sydney.May was born on the Isle of Man, U.K. and was raised in Montreal and Knowlton, Quebec. As a young woman May served in the Second World War with the WAC. May made a home for her husband Jack and sons Richard and John in Kitchener. The memorial service to celebrate May's life will be held at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home Chapel, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Monday, August 14, 2006 (today) at 3 p.m. with Rev. Heather Leffler officiating. Following the memorial service, friends are invited to join the family in the funeral home Fireside Reception Room for refreshments and a time to visit.Condolences for the family and donations to Bridgeport Lions Club, St Mary's General Hospital, Alsfeldt United Church or to a charity of your choice can be arranged through the funeral home 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.comIn living memory of May, a tree will be planted through the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
