- July 21, 1920 - April 11, 2008 STURGEON, Stuart Brown - Passed away, suddenly, in the comfort of his own home, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Beryl (Davis) Sturgeon, loving father to Ken (Janice) Sturgeon, Julia (Brian) Waddell, both of Hespeler, and Ian (Tracy) Sturgeon of Ottawa. Special grandfather to Kaitlyn Sturgeon, Jemma and Quinn Waddell, Mitchell and Curtiss Sturgeon, and step-grandfather to Brandon and Drew; beloved brother of Jean (Francis) Anderson of Mitchell, and Gerald Sturgeon of Preston. Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Maude Sturgeon; his brother, Fred, all of Bayfield; and his sisters, Eva Kirchner of London and Helen Bisback of Clinton. Also predeceased by his grandson, Cameron Sturgeon of Hespeler. Stuart joined the Army (Essex Scottish Regiment), served overseas in the Second World War from 1941 to 1946 where he met his wife to be (Beryl) in England. They were married for 61 years. He was employed by Eastern Steel Product for 36 years until his retirement in 1985. Stuart was a devoted Royal Canadian Legion member (Hespeler) Branch #272 for 62 years, where he was Past President and life member.
