  • Notes
    • LOVE, Philip Fraser - Suddenly, but peacefully, following a difficult struggle with lung disease, Philip Love passed away, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Sunday, June 22, 2008, in his 90th year. Born in Toronto on October 8, 1918 to Harry and Christine Love (nee Fraser), he was an only child. Phil is survived by his loving wife Hilda (nee Kelland) whom he married in Barrie, Ontario on June 23, 1941. They were fortunate to enjoy 67 years together and have spent the last 48 years residing in their home in Kitchener. He will forever be cherished, respected and deeply loved by his daughters, Eleanor Williams and her life companion Lloyd Dickert of Chilliwack, B.C. and Wendy Meyer and husband Donald of Kitchener. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Gregory (Jennifer) Williams of Waterloo, Deanna (Rob) Clarke of Toronto, Christopher Meyer, Andrea (Brandon ) Moyes, Rob Meyer, Jay Meyer and his fiancĂ© Cherie Karn all of Kitchener. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Matthew Clarke of Toronto and Sarah and Ainsley Williams of Waterloo. He was predeceased by his father, mother, his wife's parents, Edwin and Martha Kelland and his brothers-in-law, Fred and Maurice Kelland. Our dad served proudly in the RCAF during the Second World War attaining the rank of sergeant. He was stationed at the bomber training school in Dauphin, Manitoba. Dad loved his home and especially his dogs. He leaves behind his loyal and constant companion, his loving Border Collie, Blackie. Dad will also be warmly remembered by his best friend, Ross Kelterborn of Wellesley. Dad's request was for no service and we are filling that request. To honour his memory, donations to St. Mary's Hospital Chest Unit or the Humane Society would be greatly appreciated and may be arranged through the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home , (519) 745-9495. "Rest well and fear no more Dad. The pain and anxiety have passed, and you have found your peace."
