Notes - KENNING, Edward Ewuin - Passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Vi Kenning (Aldworth). Loving father of Keith and his wife Annette of Kitchener and Susan Waters of Waterloo. He will not be forgotten by his grandchildren, Gary Kenning, Jeffrey Waters, Debra and her husband Jonathan Eckmier and Leanne Kenning; and his great-granddaughter, Leah Eckmier. Predeceased by his first wife, Irma (Barton); and his parents, Ewuin and Elizabeth Kenning. Ed served in the Air Force during the Second World War. He was employed by Dahmer Steel, Kitchener for over 20 years. He was a member for 50 years and a retired minister at the First Spiritualist Church of Galt where he also was a president for many years. The Kenning family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Friday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral and Committal Services for Ed will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 3 p.m. Rev. Karen Charles officiating. A reception will follow in the Funeral Home. A private interment in Memory Gardens cemetery on a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
