- DAUB, Earl Vincent (Vince) - Passed away, peacefully, at St. Mary's Hospital, on Saturday, October 25, 2008 in his 89th year. Cremation has taken place. Beloved husband of the late Deborah (Dora) Heimpel (1975), companion of the late Adele Deckert (2004). Cherished father of Lucille Daub, Linda Hett (Robert), Brenda Daub-Jokic (Ljubomir), Sharon Daub and Marie Lajeunesse (Murray Kirkpatrick). Dear grandfather of Derek and Kari-Anne Jokic and Crystal and Adam Lajeunesse. Predeceased by his brothers, Alfred, Joseph and Jerome. Retired from Labatt's Brewery. Vince served in the Navy during the Second World War. He enjoyed spending time at his winter home in Arizona and tending to his gardens. Visitation Thursday, October 30, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers and shared memories at 8: 45 p.m. at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home , 621 King St. W., Kit. Visitations Saturday, November 1, at St. Agatha Church, Erb St., St. Agatha, 10: 30 to 11 a.m. followed by mass. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Waterloo Wellington Breast Cancer Centre (Freeport Hospital) in lieu of flowers. Special thanks to the staff and nurses at Emmanuel Village especially Anna for care and compassion.
