    • AMOS, Leonard George - Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Shillington) for 52 years. Loving father of John of Waterloo and Tim of Kitchener. Cherished grandfather of Jared and great-grandfather of Cameron, both of Kitchener. Brother of Irene Dymock of Barrie. Len will be greatly missed by his close friend, Marri Cole-Elsholz of England and his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Walter and Emily (nee Young) Amos and his brothers, Edward and Donald. Len served overseas with the Canadian First Division during the Second World War with the Second Yorkton Light Anti Aircraft Regiment. Longtime employee of J.M. Schneider's until he retired in 1986. He was a long-term member of Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 50 and was also a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Kitchener. Len's family will receive relatives and close friends on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 9-10: 45 a.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A reception will follow. A private family burial will take place at Memory Gardens.
