Notes - DAVENPORT, Sr. Donald Henry - Peacefully, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, September 25, 2008 in his 86th year. Donald Davenport beloved husband of Annegien (Lohr). Loving father of Maria Roos (Ted), John (Mary Ellen), Henry Jr., Jim., Cindy (Tony) and Sandra (Bill) Speckeen. Cherished Opa of 10 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, John and Sarah Davenport and also predeceased by siblings, Iris, Phyllis, Gerald, Grenfell and Violet. Donald was a retired employee of Canadian Office and School Furniture and served overseas with the 6th Canadian Hussars (Montreal) during the Second World War. He was a long time member of First United Church and a member of the RCL #126, Preston Branch. Friends will be received at Little's Funeral Home & Cremation Centre , 223 Main St., Cambridge on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. and on Monday one hour prior to service. Funeral Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Monday, September 29, 2005 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Robert Merritt officiating. Interment Mount View Cemetery. Remembrances to the Poppy Fund of RCL # 126 Preston Branch would be appreciated by the family.
