- SCULLY, James Thomas "Jim" - Of Waterloo, passed away peacefully at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the age of 85. Beloved father of Christine Beaman, Dianne Scheifele, Shawn Scully, Kevin Scully and Tracey Scheklesky. Dear grandfather of David, Krista, Brock, Brad, Jason and Mackenzie. Loving great-grandfather of Noah, Lia, Garrett and Breanna. Also survived by his brothers, Neil of New Brunswick and Terry of Virginia. Fondly remembered by his dear friends, Rick, Eugene, Maryellen, John, Marianne and Grant, and his niece and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Anne; his son, Neil; his daughter, Kim; his son-in-law, Steven; his granddaughter, Mia; and his sister, Maryann. Jim was a Veteran of the Second World War. He was a Leading Seaman on an American ship and saw battle in Normandy on D-Day. He was a member of the K-W Naval Association. The family will receive friends at David MacLeod Funeral Home , 617 King St. N., Waterloo on Monday, May 18, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Jim's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 11 a.m. Rev. Tim Uniac CR Celebrant. A visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow.
