  ATKINSON, Margaret (Bette) Passed away peacefully at Fairview Mennonite Home on Thursday, December 3, 2009 in her 91st year. Bette Atkinson (nee Elliott) is the beloved mother of Denise Atkinson of Ottawa, loved grandmother of Spice Eden Maybe of Toronto and Kathleen Hindle of Haliburton. Also survived by her sisters Roberta Elliott and Joan Coutts (Wilf) both of Cambridge. She was predeceased by a son Douglas Atkinson (1961), one brother Ted (1980), and three sisters Jeannette Elliott (1934), Gertrude Rankine (1993) and Mary Syme (2000). Bette served her country during Second World War in the C.W.A.C. (Canadian Women's Army Corps), and was a retired employee of Canada Employment, a member of Trinity Anglican Church. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 1-2 P.M. followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 2 P.M. Interment Mt. View Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Parkinson Society would be appreciated by the family.
