  WILSON, Earl Passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2009, at the Village of Winston Park at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Elizabeth for 59 years. Loving father of David and his wife Joan, Sylvia Sparling and her husband Allan, Paul and his wife Louise and June Spidell and her husband Scott. Cherished grandfather of Mark, Trace-Ann, Jennifer and her husband Vincent, Carrie and her husband Bobby, Hillary, Casimir and Sydney. Dear brother-in-law of David and Lois Goeden, and uncle of Anne and Mary. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Emily Wilson. Earl, after serving in the Second World War, became an employee at J.M Schneider's for 38 years, and was a member of the Schneider's Male Chorus for several years. He was a member of the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Choir for 50 years, and also served as an elder. Through the years, he also sang with the St. John's Anglican Church Choir and the Philharmonic Choir. Earl was a model railway enthusiast and member of the Doubleheaders Club. He and his wife managed the Freeport Thrift Shop for 9 years. Earl's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 1 - 2: 45 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 519-749-8467. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3: 00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 with a reception to follow. A private family interment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Thank you to the staff at Winston Park Nursing Home for all their loving care and support over the past four months and to Veterans and the CCAC for helping to make the last years easier for Dad.
