Notes - HUMMEL, Cecil Kenneth John - Passed suddenly, April 2, 2009, in his 86th year. Survived by his wife, Dorothy (Lasso) of 60 years; and his daughter, Paula (Andrew). "Grampi" is very deeply missed by his only grandchild, Leah. Predeceased by his parents, Irene and Charles and sister, Marjorie McDonald (Kenneth, deceased). Cecil was a dear brother to Wilfred (Katherine), Patrick (Isabelle) and sister, Avis Onn (Philip, deceased). He was a special uncle and will be lovingly remembered by his many nephews, nieces and friends. Cecil was a faithful employee of Burns Foods for 36 years until his retirement in 1985. He served with the Essex Scottish as a veteran of the Second World War. To honour Cecil's wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service/visitation will be held. A private family interment will take place in the very near future. Expressions of sympathy may be shown, by donating to the Alzheimer's Society, Trillium Gift of Life Foundation or a charity of your choice, which can be arranged by contacting Henry Walser Funeral Home , 519-749-8467. "You will always be my pillar of strength and my emotional confidant Dad. You shared your kind heart and gentle ways with many, and I will cherish you for the rest of my life."
