- ALEXANDER, SEEYMAN LAIRD was born in North Dakota Nov. 11, 1889. He graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in 1913. In September of that year he purchased the practice of Dr. A. E. Schultz of Elmira, (1), and practised there until July 1915, when he enlisted in the army. He served as Medical Officer with the First Battalion, Scots Guards and was invalided home in 1916. After postgraduate work he joined the staff of St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, in Otolaryngology.(3)
He died May 4, 1964 and was survived by his wife and two daughters. A son, Captain T.L. Alexander died of wounds in 1945.
