    • Mrs Florence Jane Barbour 29 Spruce st Galt received the sad news that her only son Pte John Barbour had made the supreme sacrifice tor his country. Deceased was in his 32nd year and was born in Derby township, Ontario. He enlisted on Jan 31, 1916. He was single and a member of Knox church He was a son of the late James Barbour of Beverly later of Grey County and had lived in Galt a number of years He was employed at the Galt Knife Works. His mother had not heard from him for some time and had become anxious as to his safety. One sister Mrs Albert Buckley Dennis avenue Mount Dennis also survives.
