A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ______________________ Died at Berlin, July 13th, at the residence of her son, Mr. Abram R. Strome, Mrs. John R Strome, aged 91 years, 3 months. Of a family of twelve children, the following survive: - Henry R. and Abram R. of Berlin; David of Elmira; Aaron of Floradale; Isaiah of Brandon, Man.; Amos of Minnesota; Elijah of California, and Mrs. Geo. Diebel of Waterloo. The deceased was a member of the Evangelical church. The funeral takes place to-day (Thursday) at 1 p.m., from the residence of Abram R. Strome, corner Weber and Cedar streets, to Roseville cemetery. Elmira Signet Newspaper 16 July 1903 p. 1, col. 4 _________________ DEATH OF Mrs. J. H. STROME. The death of Mrs. J.R. Strome, (Nancy Rosenburger) took place on Monday afternoon, at the home of her son, Abram R., corner of Weber and Cedar streets, at the advanced age of 91 years. She has been for about twelve years living in Berlin. Her husband predeceased her over a quarter of a century ago. Of a family of twelve children the following survive - Henry H. and Abram R. of Berlin; David of Elmira, Aaron of Floradale; Isaiah of Brandon, Manitoba; Amos of Minnesota; Elijah of California, and Mrs. Geo. Diebel of Waterloo. The deceased was a member of the Evangelical Church. The funeral will take place on Thursday at 1 p. m. from the residence of Mr. Abram H. Strome, corner of Weber and Cedar streets, to Roseville cemetery. ________________ On her tombstone her name is given as Mills, this is because she raised her grandchildren whose surname was Mills.
