- SHANTZ, Rose - At St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Saturday, April 21, 1990, age 87 years, formerly of 45 Stirling Ave. S., Kitchener.
Miss Shantz was born in Michigan and was a daughter of the late Mary Jane Moyer and Benjamin Shantz. She was a member of Bethany Missionary Church, Kitchener.
Survived by one niece, Jean and her husband Clayton Ferguson of Port Elgin and two nephews, Lloyd Nahrgang of Owen Sound and Wayne Shantz of Kitchener.
She was predeceased by one sister, Ruth Nahrgang and two brothers, Reuben and Roy Shantz.
Miss Shantz's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, from 7-9 p.m. this evening (Monday) and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. 12 noon. The funeral and committal service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home, Tuesday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Colin Meikle officiating. Interment in First Mennonite cemetery, Kitchener.
