A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ___________________ Miss Zillah Cressman, 62, died in the Didsbury hospital on Tuesday, October 25th, following a lengthy illness, and one more of our pioneer citizens has passed to the Last Resting Place. Born in Baden, Ontario, March 26, 1887, Miss Cressman was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Cressman and came to Alberta in 1899 with her parents and other members of the family, and they homesteaded near Carstairs, later moving to Didsbury. She was a loyal and active member of the United Missionary Church for thirty-six years, and also took an active part in the work of the Women's Christian Temperance Union of whichshe was secretary for the past 29 years. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. George Ryckman of Bellingham, Wash., Mrs. Roy Curdy of Kent, Wash.; three brothers: Millo of Stavely, Alberta, Bruce of Kevisville, Alberta, and Elliot of Didsbury, Alberta. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E.G. Archer from the United Missionary Church, Didsbury, on Friday, October 28, at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed in the Didsbury cemetery with Didsbury Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
