- HAMELIN, Winnifred Irene - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Thursday, January 29, 2009, at the age of 84 years. Cherished mother of John Hamelin (Sue), Barbara Moore (Michael), Richard Hamelin, Linda MacLeod (late Stephen MacLeod) and Pat Robinson (Dan). Proud grandmother of Shane, Carrie-Anne, Christopher, Brandy, David, Cindy, Amy, Sarah-Lynn and Benjamin. Great-grandmother of Johnathan, Kiera, Zachary, Tamsyn, Jayden and Samantha. Winnifred was the last surviving of eight daughters born to the late Fred and Mary Harryman. She served her country in the Second World War as a member of the Armed Forces. Friends may call on Sunday from 12: 30-1: 30 p.m. at the Kitchener Gospel Temple, 9 Conway Dr., Kitchener. A funeral service celebrating Winnifred's life will follow at 1: 30 p.m. Friends are invited to remain at the church for a time of fellowship and refreshments following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation (cards will be available at the service or by calling the funeral home at 519-745-9495).
