- KEN GEORGE WAINES 1926 - 2009 Passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2009, at Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre, age 82 years. Dear brother of Kathleen Mock of Hensall; grandfather of Chris Dinsmore and his wife Tami of Kitchener; great-grandfather of Raianne, Krista and Braedon. Predeceased by his son, Jeffrey Waines in 1961; a daughter, Patricia Dinsmore in 2004; a sister, Margaret Seabrook and brothers-in-law, Ron Mock and Bill Seabrook. Will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Waines was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530. Friends are invited to share their memories of Ken during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, this evening (Tuesday) from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bruce Sweet officiating. Cremation will follow with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. Following the funeral service a reception will be held in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Condolences for the family and donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated and may be arranged through the funeral home 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com. In living memory of Ken, a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home. Special thank you to all the staff at Forest Heights Long Term Care Facility for their care and support.
