  A-1-38 Gavin Bell: Last Will of Gavin Bell of the Town of Galt, in the County of Halton, (one of the United Counties of Wentworth and Halton) in the Province of Canada, Innkeeper and Wagonmaker. I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Jane, a life interest in all and every of my real Estate, and furthermore, I give devise and bequeath to be beloved wife Jane, all and every of my personal Estate and at her demise, I give, devise and bequeath, to my four children, Mary, Gavin, Henry and Nancy all and every of my real Estate, to be equally divided, share and share alike between them. I hereby appoint my said wife Jane Executrix together with Dominick Ramore, Tinsmith and William Robinson, Blacksmith, both of the Town of Galt… Witnessed by James Geddes and George White. Will dated 12 Oct 1851 Insinuated 25 July 1851 No Inventory amount Executors renouncing: The said Dominick Ramore and William Robinson delivered by hand of John Miller, Esq, their renunciation of their appointment to the Executorship aforesaid, and the same being accepted by the Judge of the Court,. The said Jane Bell, consequently made petition for the appointment as Executrix in Solo, which, also being accepted. Probate was granted in form and manner following. Her present husband, James Campbell, of the Town of Paris, in the County of Brant, C.W., Innkeeper, having previously sent in in writing his "Permit" for her to do so. Jane Campbell, wife of James Campbell, and former wife of Gavin Bell, became the sole executor of Gavin Bell's estate. Granted 5th July 1854.
