  John Bock, "was born September 24th, 1816. He was first married to Barbara Erb and after her decease to Nancy Bechtel. They resided near New Dundee, Ontario, on the farm now possessed by their son Moses where he died October 17th, 1892. His family consisted of twelve children, all of first wife, namely: IV Mary, IV, Samuel, IV Susannah, IV Amos, IV, Moses, IV Fannie, IV Lydia, IV Catharine, IV Ephraim, IV Peter, IV Jacob, and IV John Wesley.
