  LUTZ, CALVIN was born in Galt, a son of M. C. Lutz. His education was obtained locally, and he graduated from Victoria University Medical School in 1868. He then attended a postgraduate course in New York. In his last two years at university he acted as assistant to Dr. Lundy, of Sheffield, but he elected to begin his practice at Glenallen. By 1873 he was in Elmira, a reference appearing in the Berliner Journal in January in which he endorsed Cluthe's Medical Appliances in an advertisement. In April his card was in the Elmira Anzeiger. By 1878 he was in Exeter, and remained there until ill health compelled him to retire from practice. He conducted a drug business in Landsdowne until shortly before his death, which took place on September 14, 1913. He was survived by his wife and one son. Dr. Alexander D. Deceased was a former practicing physician in western Ontario, being compelled to retire on account of ill heath After retiring from his profesion. he started in the drug business in Lansdowne, recently selling out to W. E. Austin, of this town. Besides his widow, he leaves one sou, P. H. Lutz, formerly in the drug business in Gananoque. The remains will be forwarded to London, where his son will meet them.
