  GERBER, Mrs. Daniel (Laura) Peacefully, on Saturday, May 22, 1999, at Nithview Home, in New Hamburg, Laura (Lebold) Gerber, formerly of Wellesley. Laura was born in Wellesley township 83 years ago, daughter of the late Joseph Lebold and the late Barbara Boshart. Mrs. Gerber was a charter member of the Wellesley Mennonite Church. She and her husband, Dan, were former caretakers of the church. She was a resident of Wellesley from 1967 to 1987 then moved to Nithview in March of 1987. Beloved mother of Norman Gerber of Heidelberg, Dorothy and her husband Bob Pearce of Kitchener, Alice.and her husband Paul Yantzi of RR 1, Shakespeare, Elsie Gerber of Waterloo. Dear sister of Jacob and his wife Fannie Lebold of Millbank, Sarah Gerber of Stratford and Fannie Jantzi of RR 1, Milverton; sister-in-law of Elmer and his wife Ella Mae Schmidt of Millbank, Marian Lebold of Brunner, Emma Brenneman of Brunner, Katie Steckley of Wellesley, Velma Gerber of New Hamburg. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Heidi and her husband John Bailey, Heather Yantzi, Tim and Christina Pearce; also by two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Daniel Gerber (May 15, 1988); one brother, John Lebold (1988) and by two sisters, Leah Wagler and Annie Schmidt; brothers-in-law, Samuel Wagler, Elmer Gerber, Claytus Jantzi. Visitation was at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., in Wellesley, where family and friends were received on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. only. The funeral service was conducted at the Wellesley Mennonite Church on Monday, May 24, 1999 at 2 p.m. Pastor Ray Martin officiated. Burial followed in Rushes Cemetery, Wellesley township.
